Kabarak University is delighted to announce its performance in the , a reflection of our dedication to excellence, innovation, and holistic education rooted in Biblical values. The 2024 rankings brought increased competition, with 15 universities included compared to seven in 2023. Despite this, Kabarak University demonstrated remarkable resilience, ranking 7th nationally and 54th continentally. Notably, our overall score improved to 55.2, up from 52.3 in 2023, affirming our progress in delivering quality education and impactful programs.
The ACPK 2024 Conference, which began on November 25th and runs through November 28th at Sarova Woodlands, Nakuru, has brought together ICT professionals, academics, and industry leaders for a transformative event focused on advancements in cybersecurity, remote work technologies, cloud innovation, and sustainable ICT practices. As the conference continues to unfold, Kabarak University has already made a strong impression, with two remarkable students from the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology (SSET) presenting innovative projects that have captivated attendees. Mavin Kipkorir Ng’etich introduced a pioneering Sound Recognition Project, showcasing practical applications of auditory data for accessibility and automation, while Olives Matei presented an Automatic Noise Cancellation Project, which has received special recognition for its creativity and technological impact. The success of these projects, guided by the dedicated mentorship of and the valuable support of and , reflects our unwavering dedication to nurturing innovative minds and equipping students with the skills to lead in technological breakthroughs.
From November 22nd to 24th, 2024, we, Christian student leaders from Kabarak University, had the privilege of attending the 2nd Western Region Christian Student Leadership Conference held at the RCEA Conference Centre in Eldoret. The conference, themed “Leadership That Influences,†brought together 115 Christian student leaders from 14 universities across the country. Accompanied by our University Counselor, Pastor Esther Kapsir, our team included myself, Kipngetich Theophilus, alongside Elizabeth Chepkorir, Meekson Kibet, Carol Wacera, Ian Kipsang, and Joshua Munene.
On Monday 26th November 2024, Kabarak University hosted a distinguished delegation from , Uganda, for a productive benchmarking visit focused on the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 standards, quality assurance, and the integration of ICT in service delivery. The delegation, led by Prof. Maria Musoke, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Sis. Dr. Maria Goretti Kaahwa, Director of Quality Assurance, was warmly received by Kabarak University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, alongside Prof. John Ochola, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Research. During their courtesy call, Prof. Kiplangat expressed his delight at hosting the team, emphasizing the value of regional collaboration in enhancing higher education standards. He highlighted how Kabarak University’s adoption of global standards and strategic ICT integration has transformed the institution into a beacon of academic innovation and excellence.
